What is your damage?
There’s this saying about not knowing how strong or good a tea is until you put it in hot water. Well, it makes sense, but humans aren’t exactly tea, right? And even with tea, you could probably tell the quality of the tea leaves by smell, touch, sight. Shouldn’t that apply to humans as well? I’m not talking about appearance here, I’m talking about inner character. You said that we weren’t pushing them and throwing them enough shit to allow you to see their leadership qualities shine. Well, that implies that you think you did, but what did that get you? I have to agree that you might be right with about a quarter of whomever you had chosen, but the rest? Where’s the qualities you saw after you threw shit?
Would it not have made more sense to have somebody who displays enough qualities even without being pushed at all than having somebody who only displays the best qualities AFTER someone pushes them? Is the people or person doing the pushing always going to be there? And you claim that we are too dependent on you when we last had club meeting. What shit are you talking about?
You apologised, but do you really know what you are apologising for? Well, I’m just glad you never saw enough qualities in me to lay all the responsibilities on me because now I don’t see why I should worry, try hard at doing something foreign and in the end get not even a pat to the back but just poorly disguised shit from someone who didn’t sleep later or wake up earlier than any of us, want to desperately include his favourite drop out who didn’t and never got anything done despite all his claims.
Well, thank you for being around on the first day to talk to them, but, hey, giving talks are something you love right? *Cues N-U-T-R-I-S-H-I-N-E* Where’s the sports car you said you’ll get after 2 years? You might have got a lot done, but that only proves that you are a hardworking person (let’s not talk about your grades, you aren’t that different from your favourite drop out, maybe just luckier) and not that you are a good leader. Or a person with a good judgement of character.
I cannot say I’m totally correct and right, but you know, it just sucks to hear and see firsthand what you say to people who barely had a few hours of sleep every day while you were all snuggled up and cozy in your own little world thinking everything is perfect your way. I am probably really pretentious seeing how I want to be someone who lets people be who they want to be and not judge them and now, here, I’m criticising somebody. The thing is I really don’t think somebody who barely did anything and is entirely clueless about what has gone on should be saying anything to anyone.
